Cancellation of Paris Games Week 2021

A very strange year with this news that has just fallen in a press release from the SELL (Syndicat des Éditeurs des Logements Software): the 11th edition of the PGW , i.e. Paris Games Week 2021, canceled for the second consecutive year.

As confirmed by SELL, we will therefore have to wait until 2022 in order to be able to celebrate this event again, which will perhaps be held in physics depending on sanitary conditions.

Indeed, Paris Games Week is the expected event of all gamers and video game enthusiasts and is today the largest gaming fair in France.

1 - The major French video game fair

The PGW is the largest French gaming fair. Indeed, it brings together many video game communities around a common passion every year at the Parc des Expositions at Porte de Versailles.

This event is an opportunity to share, exchange, discover, celebrate and learn from each actor and novelty of this beautiful industry that we are so passionate about: gaming!

A real experience, the Paris Games Week is a meeting expected every year by the French (e)s because it allows sharing, leisure, social links, discoveries and fun.

317,000 visitors in 2019

The PGW is more than 300,000 visitors over 5 days of event , in short, an unmissable event every year.

Indeed, in 2019 there were more than 317,000 enthusiastic visitors to the Parc des Expositions. It is therefore as many people who unite around a common passion to discover new products, previews, Esport competitions, concerts, meetings with the most coveted streamers and the most popular Youtubers. In short, a unique event adored by all video game enthusiasts.

2 - A decidedly cursed 10th edition: cancellation of the PGW 2020 and 2021

Due to the Covid 19 pandemic, the PGW is not maintained this year again. A news that saddens all gamers since the announcement made by SELL on June 24 in an official press release.

After the cancellation of the 2020 edition of the PGW which was to celebrate its 10th anniversary, here is a still very empty year with an edition canceled and postponed to 2022. We will therefore have to be patient.

Cancellation as a precaution

Via a press release, the SELL has indeed confirmed the cancellation of the PGW 2021 due to the pandemic. This news made a lot of people disappointed and shattered all hope of having the possibility of doing this community event bringing together video game enthusiasts.

Already canceled in 2020, the PGW is canceled for the second consecutive time . This cancellation stems from a complicated health situation and therefore from logistics and organization that are too complex for the organizers.

3 - Paris Games Week is scheduled for 2022

The organizers attest, however, that they are already preparing the PGW 2022 edition meticulously in order to make it even more beautiful and impressive than the previous ones ! So hold on tight and save your dates because the PGW 2022 promises to be " one of the most beautiful editions " of this long-awaited show.
